Sophisticated Waterjet Technology

Kelcom Inc uses an Australian built waterjet machine to custom cut all gaskets. This technology allows gaskets to be cut with a high degree of precision and accuracy. Maintaining tolerances of more than .030 assures product quality and consistency.

The waterjet operates by channeling an ultra-high pressurized stream of water through a small, precious-stone orifice. The water is pressurized at levels over 40,000 psi and travels through the stone orifice at approximately 2.5 times the speed of sound - depending on how the water pressure is exerted.

There are no tool or die costs associated with the waterjet. Each gasket is a custom item and modifications can easily be made.
